By about 4 PM General Thomas decides to withdraw the rest of the army to Rossville and Chattanooga.  He decides to begin the movement with the four divisions posted at Kelly Field.  He sends orders to have the divisions withdraw from right to left.  Accordingly, at about 4:30 Reynold's division pulls off the line.
