While no major combat took place around the Hunt farm, it still contains important landmarks for the battle.   Most of the Confederate army crossed Chickamauga Creek at either Dalton or Thedford’s Fords.  Bragg’s headquarters on the 19^th was at Thedford Ford.  In addition, it is now one of the quietest spots in the park, and a great place to hike and just relax.
