View from the second position of the 42^nd and 88^th Indiana on the morning of the 20^th.  Adam’s brigade attacked from out of the woods to the front, forcing the two Union regiments from their first position across the road to the position here.  As Adams continued the attack, the two regiments retreated to the west.
