The strength of the brigade is taken from the report on the Battle of Rescaca. It gives a detailed
strength by regiment for the battle, as well as casualties through Cassville on May 20th. By
subtracting the casualties for Resaca through Cassville we get a fairly accurate strength for
each regiment at the beginning of the battles for New Hope Church and Pickett's Mill.
